The area of forest damage from fires was 6.5 million hectares, and the amount of Carbon emissions was 36.5 MtC. Although the area of damages in the country as a whole is higher than the average annual values, the scale of pyrogenic carbon emissions is lower than the average annual values and in absolute terms corresponds to 2016. There has been an increase in fire Carbon emissions since 2012.
