The Russian Federation possesses a large area of available highly productive forestland, which creates a real potential for the formation of a developed and highly competitive forest complex. However, the Russian Federation is facing a number of serious problems that hinder the development of the forestry complex. The main problems issues include the depletion of accessible forests due to extensive forest management and unsatisfactory forest management, and the almost complete absence of economic instruments that motivate the reproduction of valuable forests and an increase in their productivity.<\/span><\/p>\n
