The article presents a concise biography of the outstanding botanist and educator, Professor Alexey Aleksandrovich Uranov, founder of the scientific school of plant population biology. Memoirs of A. A. Uranov’s students are quoted, reflecting his scientific legacy and pedagogical influence. Supplementary materials include bibliographic lists of abstracts from 43 Candidate of Sciences (PhD) and 12 Doctor of Sciences dissertations completed by Uranov’s disciples, as well as a list of articles and conferences dedicated to A. A. Uranov.
